A View From The Front Lines
Help Us Help You

By Kirk Lyons

Kirk Lyons Greetings to all and I hope this issue finds all of you blessed beyond your wildest dreams. Because of time constraints brought on by a case of persistent procrastination on my part, I will be making this short and to the point.

After more than six years of fulltime service, Gary Morris is departing from J&J Music to pursue what God has prepared for him in the next chapter of his life. I can not express in words how important Gary has been to our company. Whenever a need arose, Gary would be first in line to fill it. Spiritually, he has lived on the frontlines of defense for this company through countless days and nights of continual prayer. He has been my friend and more importantly a cornerstone of support for all I have done. The great news is that Gary will continue to be involved with The Communicator through the selling of ad space. During his time as Editor for this publication, he has continued to bring to your attention resources that aid in your ministries, as well as innovative ideas that tie our web site, www.jjonline.com, together with The Communicator. Gary, we love you and look forward to what God will accomplish through your life in this new venture.

With Gary's departure and the ever changing landscape of our music industry, I would like to solicit your opinions on two issues. If you will take time to dwell on these and then e-mail your suggestions to me at: kirk.lyons@jjonline.com, I would be most appreciative.

For 26 years our purpose of existence has been to serve you the Servants of God through the ministry of music. I believe these two questions will help us do that more productively in the years to come.

My questions are:

1) What changes could we make to the communicator that would help it be a better resource tool for you in your ministries?

2) What can we do differently at our conferences that would add such value to them; you would automatically schedule them each year as time you could not afford to miss?

I'll simply close by saying Thank You for your time as you consider these questions and more importantly, THANK YOU for allowing us to be a small part of you ministries around the world.

We love all of you,

Kirk & your J&J family
