From the Editor
Farewell
By Gary Morris
I want to say thank you for all the support and encouragement you've shown to me over the past six and a half years, as Editor of The Communicator magazine, and to let you know that I am resigning my position as Editor.
This issue will mark the second issue of 19 volumes of the best publication on the market and in the ministry for church music leadership, and it will mark my last issue as Editor. For the last 6 and a half years of those 19, it has been my distinct honor and privilege to serve you in this capacity, and the Lord has blessed my life in it and in many other ways here, as well.
Comments like this, which the Lord always sends at just the right time, have made my job even more rewarding: "I just wanted to share with someone how blessed I have been by the recent issue of 'The Communicator.' I always find useful articles and info. in every issue, but this one seemed to have so many things that especially applied to challenges I am facing currently. I am so excited about some new ideas and resources I found. Thanks so much for your ministry through this publication!! Grace and Peace to you, Kristen Dominguez, Minister of Music and Creative Worship, Hominy Baptist Church, Candler, NC."
It was under the direction of His Holy Spirit that I came to be a part of J&J Music and definitely His divine plan to be an Editor of a choral magazine, when I myself do not know a thing about music. I do sing though...I sing like a prisoner–behind a few bars and looking for the key! So then I know that not only does the Lord provide but I He also has a sense of humor. J
I have resigned from full time employment here, to pursue other interests, as I follow God the same as when He led me here. However, I will continue with J&J Music, handling the Communicator's advertising.
Please keep me in your positive prayers, for wisdom, understanding, and to remain humble and have the compassion of Christ.
Under Construction,
Gary
